Well guys, another month has come and gone. You know what that means?! One month closer to Christmas!! I LOVE Christmas, it’s because my birthday is in December so the whole month is awesome! Sorry about there not being a post last week. I have been super sick lately and haven’t felt up to writing. Hopefully, it’ll be totally gone soon! So without further ado here are my monthly favorites-October version! I discovered a new Disney subscription. 😀 Keep reading
October Friday the 13 I hosted a Harry Potter themed spa girls night and it was fantastic!! I don’t really care for scary movies so this was an awesome alternative. 🙂 I pulled some recipes from The Unofficial Harry Potter Beauty Potions Book from Amazon and I found a recipe on Youtube by Demi Siriusly for DIY Butterbeer lip balm!!
Here are a bunch of easy costume ideas, we all know how much I love those easy costumes!! Whether they are for Comic Con or *cough Halloween cough* is up to you. 😉 Some of these I’ve done myself and some of these I found on Pinterest. I absolutely LOVE Pinterest don’t you??
This past month as awesome for being a nerd! That usually happens when SLComic Con comes to Utah! 😉 Not only did that help grow my nerd collection but I ordered some Harry Potter stuff off the Wish app came as well. I might have a slight problem….Nah!! Come and check out my monthly favorites-September version!
I had a blast at Salt Lake Comic Con! Did anyone else notice how smooth and fast photo op lines were?! I think this is probably the best that I’ve seen (and I’ve gotten my fair share of photo ops! 😉 ). Now that the con is over let’s find out what everyone bought! I love seeing the cool things that people got at the con! Here is my Salt Lake Comic Con 2017 haul. 😀
Because Salt Lake Comic Con starts this Thursday I won’t be doing a post on Thursday. I’m going to be quite busy (as I’m sure you can imagine 😉 )! So in honor of SLComic Con here is my list of do’s and don’ts of what to do at Salt Lake Comic Con.
Do’s and don’ts of Salt Lake Comic Con
Be respectful of others. Be respectful of other people’s time, costumes, and opinions. Please be respectful of the volunteers, they work so hard!
Check out the many vendors. I especially like checking out artist’s alley, I’m always amazed by the cool art that is there!
Compare prices. I’ve seen someone selling sheet protectors for a 10 dollars and then someone else was selling them for a BUCK! That’s a huge price difference.
Touch someone else’s costume without permission! There are signs all over the Salt Palace about this but I’ve still seen and heard of it happening.
Push in line. We’re all trying to get to the same place people!
Make derogatory comments about someone else’s cosplay.
I hope that everyone who is attending this con has an amazing fantastic time!!
Come to the Nerd Side,
For those of you that follow me on Instagram at you’ll have seen that I received the Fan Empire Hogwarts House box. Fan Empire is a subscription box that will send out 4-6 items monthly of fandom merchandise for 14.95 plus shipping and handling. Well here’s my thoughts on the box and my experience. What did I like? What didn’t I like? Is it worth your money? Keep on reading to find out!
Well, another month has come and gone! And guys, I saw some leaves on the ground! Fall is just around the corner and I could not be more excited!! But another month ending means that it is that time again, time for another monthly favorites post! This one is my monthly favorites-August post. everything that I’ve been loving from the month of August. Spoilers, there was a lot of Disney!
My sisters and I love going to SLC Comic Con! I always have a really great time, and one of my favorite things to do is to go to the celebrity panels! Because this way, even if you can’t pay to get a photo op with ALL of your favorite celebrities at least you’ll be able to see them and hear their stories. 🙂 A word of advice if you are planning on attending panels, get the SLC Comic Con app that will tell you the most up to date schedule on panels. Here is a list of my top five celebrity panels!
Have you seen those super cute Mickey Mouse ears that you can buy at Disneyland/. More importantly have you seen the price tag of those ears? What if I were to tell you that you could make your own for a fraction of the cost?? Would you be interested? Because I certainly was!!
