DIY-EASIEST Mickey Mouse ornaments!
For the month of December leading up to Christmas, I am going to do a new series! Every week there is going to be a post on DIY ornaments. A lot of these ideas are inspired by either Pinterest or Youtube, with my own Jacie twist of course! 😀 So let’s start things off with something super simple, the EASIEST Mickey Mouse ornaments ever!
DIY-EASIEST Mickey Mouse ornaments
- Hot glue gun (Wal-Mart)
- Glue sticks (Wal-Mart)
- Sponge brush (Wal-Mart)
- Dollar Store glitter ornaments in two different sizes
- Mod Podge (I got mine at the Dollar Store)
Pull off the little gold bits that are on the ornament. Just wiggle them around until they come off.
Paint a layer of Mod Podge on the ornaments, don’t worry Mod Podge dries clear. What this will do is seal the glitter so that it doesn’t fall off and go everywhere! I’ve noticed with Dollar Store ornaments that the glitter doesn’t stay on very well, this takes care of that problem. Wait for the Mod Podge to dry.
Cut off the little knob things on the two smaller ornaments. I’ve found the best way to do this is with scissors.
In the large ornament put a dot large enough to cover the hole on one side of the ornament. Attach the smaller ornament to the larger ornament. Do this on both sides, this will create the ears.
Put the gold bit back on the larger ornament and attach the string that comes with the Dollar Store ornaments. Now you’re ready to hang your ornament on the tree!
Well, what do you think? I love them! They add just the right touch of Disney to my tree, and I love the way they sparkle! And they are SUPER easy to make! If you have any questions make sure put them in the comments below. 🙂
